The Buckeye, a local non-profit, is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization. The mission of The Buckeye is to protect open space and family ranch land values on the North Coast of California. The ideal candidate will have a passion for our mission and want to support it through their work.
 
This part time position has the possibility to moving to a full-time position for the right candidate. $25-$35/ hour. Benefits to be negotiated
 
Primary duties include:

  • Reporting to the Board of Directors monthly and the executive committee monthly
  •  Maintain the office, computer systems, website, email lists and membership
  • Organize and execute projects related to The Buckeye mission statement
  • Perform duties as directed by the Board of Directors
  • Organize annual events:
    • General membership meeting dinner and auction
    •  Fall and Spring educational membership mixers
  • Seasonal Newsletters

 
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • A background in forestry and/or agriculture
  • Strategic thinking, planning, and project/process/systems management skills
  • Knows how to manage simultaneously for short, mid, and long-term results
  • Strategic and visionary leader
  • Fund development
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communications
  • Ability to lead complex, multi-component projects and conversations to successful outcomes
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and QuickBooks
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle, and insurance
  • Must be able to pass a background check
